Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC) - Visits, assessments and sessions with psychiatrists are covered by OHIP

These clinics assist with the medical management of addictions.  Five locations are available within driving distance of both Brampton and Mississauga.  No doctor’s referral is required.  See the Digital Flyer for full location and service details.

SMART Recovery TorontoGroup meetings are free
SMART Recovery is an abstinence-oriented program.  They provide support to individuals struggling with addiction, and through their Family and Friends program offer hope and support for those impacted by the addictive behaviour of others.   Please consult their website for full service details.

Alcoholics Anonymous (Greater Toronto Area Intergroup of AA) Services are Free 

Alcoholics Anonymous is a 12-Step support program for individuals struggling with alcohol addiction.  Visit their website for full details on current in-person meeting locations as well as online options.

The Phoenix Group Services are Free
This group supports all first responders serving or retired struggling with operational stress injuries (OSI’s) or post-traumatic stress (PTS).  

Time/Location: St. Stephen's Anglican Church 14946 Steeles Ave., Hornby ON
The group meets the 1st Thursday evening of the month, from 7-9pm

Additional Information: Our Rector, Reverend Michael Clarke is a former Peel Regional Police officer. As such he is aware of the emotional and physical toll that First Responder’s service work can take on an individual working in this field. Together with former Peel Police Detective Gary Rubie, and former Mississauga District Fire Chief Dave Connor, the three men run “The PHOENIX P.T.S. Support Group” for First Responders. Participants include police, fire, ambulance, corrections and military personnel, both serving and retired, who are suffering from the affects of PTS, Moral Trauma and Operational Stress Injuries. All First Responders are welcome
